Dr. Carisa Petris is a specialist in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at MU Health Care’s Mason Eye Institute. She focuses on surgical repairs of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system, addressing conditions like entropion, ectropion, and eyelid malpositions to improve both function and appearance.
Her clinical practice is complemented by active research, particularly in thyroid eye disease. Dr. Petris has presented her work at the International Thyroid Eye Disease Society Symposium and holds a faculty position as a professor at the MU School of Medicine, where she contributes to education and training.
