About Me
Dr. Ambar Faridi is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the OHSU School of Medicine and serves as Associate Residency Program Director and Director for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at the Casey Eye Institute. She has a busy retina practice at the VA Portland Health Care System, where she teaches ophthalmology residents and serves on clinical committees. She is passionate about resident and medical student education, serving as director of resident conferences and the mentorship program at the Casey Eye Institute and participating in the MD Curriculum and admissions process at the OHSU School of Medicine.
Dr. Faridi conducts research on retinal diseases and resident education and has been recognized with numerous awards for her contributions to resident education, service at the Portland VA, and as a Top Doctor. She grew up in Karachi, Pakistan and Las Vegas but has called Portland her home since 2005. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and being outdoors.
