Dr. Zachary Berbos

Dr. Zachary Berbos is a board-certified eye physician and surgeon specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery in Rapid City. His practice focuses on treating complex conditions of the eyebrows, forehead, eyelids, orbit (eye socket), lacrimal (tear) system, mid-face, and lower face. Dr. Berbos also offers expertise in cosmetic surgery and non-surgical enhancements, including botulinum toxins, laser and chemical skin resurfacing, and injectable dermal fillers, helping patients achieve both functional and aesthetic improvements.

Dr. Berbos is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He holds an appointment as an adjunct clinical professor at Creighton Medical School and serves as a guest instructor at the University of Arizona Medical School, where he teaches gross anatomy focused on head and neck dissection. His commitment to education extends to publishing numerous peer-reviewed medical journal articles, research studies, textbook chapters, and delivering lectures both locally and nationally on facial plastic surgery.

Dr. Berbos graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California and attended medical school at the University of Minnesota, graduating with the highest honors. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota's Department of Ophthalmology, serving as Chief Resident and scoring in the top 1% nationally on his board exams. He further honed his skills through a two-year fellowship in Cosmetic and Functional Oculoplastic and Facial Surgery in Salt Lake City, training under renowned specialists at the Center for Facial Appearances. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities and live music with his family.
