Dr. Sean Rooney

Dr. Sean Rooney is an ophthalmologist at Eye Associates of Marquette, providing comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. He offers routine eye exams, vision testing, and glasses prescriptions, and manages a variety of eye conditions to help maintain healthy vision.

Dr. Rooney's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Space Physics from the United States Air Force Academy, followed by a combined M.D. and Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University and is board certified in ophthalmology.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society during his training.
