Dr. Jeffrey Mandel

Dr. Jeffrey S. Mandel is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his medical degree at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, followed by a surgical residency at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York.

Dr. Mandel specializes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, including the LINX® Reflux Management System for reflux and hernia surgery. He has been recognized as the Best General Surgeon in Savannah by Savannah Magazine every year since 2013. His additional honors include South Magazine’s Greatest Doctors (2020-2021), Castle Connolly Top Doctors (2014-2026), and both Surgeon of Excellence and Master Surgeon in Hernia Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation (2024).

An active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, and several other surgical societies, Dr. Mandel is committed to providing high-quality surgical care. He is affiliated with St. Joseph's/Candler and Memorial Health University Medical Center. Dr. Mandel finds the greatest joy in seeing his patients return to their lives and families after treatment.
