About Me
Dr. Hugo Higa is a dual-trained Ophthalmologist and Oculofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on both vision and aesthetic needs. He treats conditions related to corneal and external diseases, as well as performs oculoplastic and orbital surgeries. His practice includes offices at the Pan Am Building and Pali Momi Medical Center, and he also sees patients at the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center.
Dr. Higa completed his fellowship training in Corneal Surgery/External Diseases and Oculoplastic/Orbital Surgery, which allows him to address a wide range of eye health issues. He is actively involved in community education, participating in talks and seminars on aging eye health and cosmetic procedures, and he holds regular seminars for local optometrists.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Higa serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, contributing to medical education. He is dedicated to providing trusted care in Ophthalmology and Oculofacial Surgery, helping patients with both functional and cosmetic eye concerns.
