Dr. Bita Esmaeli

Dr. Bita Esmaeli is a leading ophthalmic plastic and orbital surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of ocular and orbital cancers. With over 26 years of experience, her practice focuses on orbital tumors, lacrimal gland carcinomas, eyelid cancers, conjunctival melanomas, and periocular reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Esmaeli served as a tenured Professor of Ophthalmology at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she was also Chief of the Section of Ophthalmology and the Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Fellowship Program Director. She currently sees patients in a private practice in Houston. Dr. Esmaeli serves on the Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons and is the co-chair of the American Joint Committee on Cancer Ophthalmic Oncology Task Force.
