He completed internship at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York, followed by ophthalmology residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health, where he served as a co-chief resident. He then completed fellowship training at Hoopes Vision in Draper, Utah, gaining additional expertise in modern cataract surgery, LASIK, and other laser vision correction procedures. Salt Lake City, UTDr. Corey J. Miller is a board-certified ophthalmologist and anterior segment surgeon at Mountain States Eye Center in Salt Lake City. Practicing alongside his father, he provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on cataract, cornea, refractive, and external disease. Patients often note his kind, attentive manner and his commitment to achieving excellent visual outcomes while keeping them comfortable and informed. Dr. Miller graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to attend The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he received the Eli G. Alcorn and John B. Alcorn Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Ophthalmology. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota, earning the Lee Best Resident Surgeon of the Year award, and then pursued a prestigious anterior segment fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants with subspecialty training in cornea, cataract, refractive, and external disease. Dr. Miller remains active in teaching, research, and outreach to underserved populations. He speaks fluent Portuguese and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, skiing, hiking, fishing, and biking when he is not caring for patients.
