She completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, where she was voted Chief Resident. She received advanced training through a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where she was a Heed Fellow. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025 and previously served on the faculty at the University of California, Davis. He has presented his research on glaucoma and cataract surgery at numerous national conferences. Dr. Waldman is a member of the American Glaucoma Society. He speaks fluent English and Spanish and is committed to providing the highest level of eye care to his patients. Outside of ophthalmology, he is a guitarist with a focus in the jazz and blues genres and enjoys hi-fi and vinyl records. He lives in Leawood with his wife and son.
