Dr. Meghal Gagrani is a pediatric ophthalmologist at the UPMC Vision Institute, caring for children across Lawrenceville, Bridgeville, and Wexford. She treats common and complex conditions that affect children’s vision and eye movement, and she works closely with families to create a plan that fits each child’s needs and routines. Her visits are kid-friendly and thorough, with clear guidance for home care and follow-up. Dr. Gagrani completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She then moved to the United States for a research fellowship and a clinical glaucoma fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. At UPMC/University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, she completed fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology. She has a special interest in pediatric glaucoma and is dedicated to helping children see comfortably and develop strong visual skills.

Dr. Preeti Patil is a pediatric ophthalmologist and pediatric neuro-ophthalmologist who cares for children with visual pathway and eye movement disorders. She combines meticulous examinations with a warm, family-centered style, working closely with parents and therapists to support visual development at home and school. Her clinics include dedicated time for complex conditions, and she coordinates medical, optical, and surgical care when needed. Dr. Patil serves on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. Her clinical and research interests include cortical visual impairment in children, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and the full spectrum of nystagmus—its causes, genetics, and medical or surgical management. She completed fellowship training at the Shiley Eye Institute and at Sankara Nethralaya, ophthalmology residency at Sankara Nethralaya, and earned her MD from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. She welcomes referrals for pediatric neuro-ophthalmology and nystagmus evaluations in Pittsburgh.

Danielle Sarlo, DO, is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia who cares for children with eye misalignment, visual development concerns, tearing problems, and other childhood eye conditions. She provides family-centered evaluations and treatment plans that may include glasses, patching, in-office procedures, or surgery when needed. Dr. Sarlo completed ophthalmology residency with Ascension in Michigan and advanced fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at CHOP. Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, she works closely with orthoptists and pediatric specialists to tailor care to each child’s needs and to help parents understand every step. Her clinical interests include strabismus, amblyopia, pediatric cataracts, and eyelid disorders that affect vision. She enjoys partnering with families to support healthy visual development and long-term outcomes.
