Dr. David J. Grasic is a retina and uveitis specialist with broad experience in both medical and surgical care of complex posterior-segment disease. He earned his medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at the Sveti Duh Hospital University Eye Clinic in Zagreb. Dr. Grasic went on to advanced subspecialty training, including a medical retina fellowship at the University of Miami/Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and a uveitis fellowship at the National Eye Institute/National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Razek Georges Coussa is a vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric retina, inherited retinal diseases, and complex vitreoretinal surgery. He recently practiced as a Clinical Assistant Professor and adult and pediatric vitreoretinal surgeon at the Dean McGee Eye Institute (University of Oklahoma), where he founded the Retinal Gene Therapy Center and was the first surgeon to treat patients with FDA-approved subretinal gene therapy in Oklahoma. In Wisconsin, he provides comprehensive care for conditions ranging from common issues like age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy to complex retinal trauma and proliferative vitreoretinopathy-related retinal detachments, while also developing pediatric and inherited retinal disease programs. Dr. Coussa completed his ophthalmology residency at McGill University and pursued four years of advanced fellowships: Pediatric Ophthalmology and Inherited Retinal Diseases at the Cole Eye Institute of the Cleveland Clinic, Medical Retina and Molecular Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, and Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of Iowa. His background includes engineering and biomedical training at McGill University and an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, with plans to continue clinical and translational research in pediatric retina and inherited eye diseases.

Miguel Cruz-Pimentel, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon and clinical assistant professor at the Dean McGee Eye Institute. His practice spans adult and pediatric retina, with special expertise in complex surgical retina, pediatric vitreoretinal disease, ocular genetics, and care for inherited retinal conditions. Dr. Cruz-Pimentel is committed to evidence-based care and compassionate communication, and he works closely with patients and families when conditions threaten central or peripheral vision. A clinician-scientist, Dr. Cruz-Pimentel completed medical school at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and ophthalmology residency at Hospital Dr. Elías Santana in the Dominican Republic, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued advanced training in Canada, including a medical retina fellowship and a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto, followed by a pediatric vitreoretinal surgery and ocular genetics fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children and a research fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital. His work has included participation as a surgeon in gene therapy for inherited causes of blindness and research focused on retinal detachment. He welcomes referrals for challenging retinal disorders in both adults and children.

Dr. Michael Hood is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides medical and surgical care for retinal disease. After growing up in Oklahoma City, he completed undergraduate training at the University of Oklahoma and went on to medical school at the University of Oklahoma. He then pursued ophthalmology residency training at the University of Tennessee, including service as chief resident. Dr. Hood’s clinical interests include retinal detachment repair, macular conditions, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. He also offers retina-focused procedures such as vitrectomy surgery, intravitreal injections, and retinal laser treatment. In addition to patient care, he participates in clinical research and clinical trials aimed at advancing treatment options for retinal disease. He is dedicated to helping patients understand their diagnosis and feel confident in their care plan.

Dr. Jordan Johnson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a leading retina specialist in Oklahoma City. He provides expert eye care, specializing in retinal diseases, surgeries, and vision preservation. Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, and he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Centenary College of Louisiana. He earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Johnson completed his ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport and then finished a two-year fellowship in vitreo-retina surgery at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. As a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to advancing retina care. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dogs, as well as hunting, watching football, and the great outdoors.
