Dr. Thai Do is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He provides comprehensive care for functional and cosmetic concerns of the eyelids and face, with special attention to procedures that improve comfort, safety, and confidence. Patients see him for rejuvenation options, correction of eyelid malposition, and reconstruction after tumors or trauma, and appreciate his careful evaluation and clear, practical guidance. Dr. Do completed an ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he served as chief resident and earned multiple resident awards. He then pursued a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Detroit in affiliation with the Kresge Eye Institute and William Beaumont Hospital. He enjoys partnering with each patient to create results that look natural and protect long-term eye health.

Dr. Christian Ponder is an oculoplastic surgeon dedicated to restoring both function and appearance around the eyes. At Oculoplastic Surgeons of Oklahoma, he treats conditions affecting the eyelids, orbit, and tear ducts, and offers advanced cosmetic and reconstructive options tailored to each patient’s needs. His surgical interests include laser eyelid surgery, brow lifting, post-cancer eyelid and facial reconstruction, and minimally invasive treatments such as fillers, neuromodulators, and energy-based skin therapies. Dr. Ponder earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed ophthalmology residency at the Jones Eye Institute, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He then pursued fellowship training at Wills Eye Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Known for clear communication and meticulous technique, Dr. Ponder focuses on safety, natural results, and an excellent patient experience from consultation through recovery.

Dr. Tan practices ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Dean McGee Eye Institute (DMEI). His focus is on patients with any periocular, lacrimal, or orbital disease. This includes inflammatory, oncologic, and trauma to the area around the eye as well as those looking for aesthetic and rejuvenative enhancements such as blepharoplasty (removal of excess eyelid skin), ptosis repair (droopy eyelid lifting), endoscopic forehead and brow lift, mid-face lift, lower eyelid fat removal, and injectables (Botox, fillers, etc). Dr. Tan sees patients at DMEI’s three Oklahoma City area clinics – the University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Sciences Center location; Northwest Oklahoma City; and Edmond. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Tan earned his undergraduate degree (major in ceramics and minor in biology) from the University of Delaware, where honors included summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Kappa Phi. He completed his medical studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and his ophthalmology residency at DMEI/OU (during which he served as chief resident). He completed a two-year ASOPRS fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery with Ophthalmic Surgeons and Consultants of Ohio in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Tan joined the DMEI/OU faculty in 2018. Dr. Tan is a first-generation American, born of immigrant parents from the Philippines with ethnic roots in Southeastern China. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children and exploring the surprisingly diverse and thriving culinary scene in Oklahoma City.
