He is originally from Albany, NY, and completed his undergraduate studies at Brandeis University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Biology. He earned his medical degree at the New York University School of Medicine, where he actively participated in volunteer work through the organization Unite For Sight, performing vision screenings on New York City’s underserved population. Dr. Huz completed a combined internal medicine and general surgery internship at New York Hospital Queens, a teaching affiliate of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year and received awards for both clinical and academic excellence. He further specialized with a vitreoretinal fellowship at Albany Medical College. Dr. Huz has presented at national meetings and has conducted research on “Clinical Outcomes of Staphylococcus aureus Endophthalmitis” as well as “Outcomes of Resident Performed Mature Cataract Surgery”. Dr. S. Amal Hussnain is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to providing the most advanced retina care in a highly personalized manner. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Yale University, serving as Chief Resident in his final year, and then a two-year Vitreous and Retina Surgery Fellowship at Columbia University, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, New York University, and Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants of New York. He has presented at national meetings, published numerous peer-reviewed articles, and contributed to medical textbooks. Dr. Hussnain is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. His current research interests include ophthalmic imaging, age-related macular degeneration, and epiretinal membranes.

Dr. Albert S. Li is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained medical and surgical retina specialist. He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he contributes to the education of future eye care professionals. Dr. Li graduated magna cum laude with highest honors in Chemical and Physical Biology from Harvard College, where he was awarded the Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize for outstanding undergraduate research. He earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, serving as chief resident. His vitreoretinal fellowship was completed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Peter M. Brennen, MD is a board-certified Ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal, macular, and vitreous disorders. Dr. Brennen completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his Medical Doctor Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Mahmood Khan, MD, is a vitreoretinal surgeon at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Kovacs is the St. Giles Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College and serves as the retina fellowship director. He is actively engaged in clinical and basic science research in retinal diseases, has published approximately 50 peer-reviewed research articles, authored textbook chapters, and regularly presents his research at national and international meetings. Dr. Tahsin Choudhury is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal care. A native of New York state, he completed his early education in Newburgh and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors from Johns Hopkins University, where he began exploring ophthalmology through research on vitamins in macular degeneration and nonsteroidal intravitreal injections at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He obtained his Medical Degree from NYU School of Medicine in Manhattan, continuing his retinal research with projects on chronic retinal detachments. Dr. Choudhury completed his ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and a two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at the National Retina Institute in Baltimore. Dr. Choudhury is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Onondaga County Medical Society. He serves on the medical staff at the Syracuse VA and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he mentors medical students and residents. Dr. Gaurav Chandra is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who cares for both the medical and surgical diseases of the retina and for uveitis and other ocular inflammatory conditions. Mark P. Breazzano, MD is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for patients with diseases of the retina, macula, and vitreous. Matthew Karl, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon with SightMD. Dr. Coombs has contributed to academic articles in ophthalmology and previously practiced in New Hampshire before moving to Salt Lake City to join Utah Eye Centers.
