Dr. Charles Calvo is a retina specialist who cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. A Nevada native, he completed his undergraduate training in biology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), earned his medical degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, and trained in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital, where he served as co-chief resident. After residency, Dr. Calvo cared for patients at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, an experience that strengthened his commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered eye care. He then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center, where he was recognized as Fellow of the Year and received a travel grant for work in pediatric retina. Dr. Spencer D. Fuller is a vitreoretinal surgeon at HD Retina Eye Center. Dr. Alec Amram is a retina specialist at Meadows Eye Physicians & Surgeons, where he cares for adults with medical and surgical conditions of the back of the eye. He completed a surgical retina fellowship at the University of Iowa, one of the nation’s leading ophthalmology training programs, after earning his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He then finished an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, serving as chief resident. He also completed an ocular pathology fellowship at the Moran Eye Center and an ophthalmology innovation fellowship at Stanford, focused on designing new technologies for diagnosing and treating eye disease. He has authored scientific papers and reviews for ophthalmic journals, and he brings that same curiosity and attention to detail to every patient visit.
