Dr. Xueyang (Sarah) Wang is a cornea and cataract specialist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Dr. Brent B. Hoffman is a fellowship-trained cornea and cataract surgeon at Raleigh Ophthalmology. Dr. Hoffman completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery fellowship at Legacy Health Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. His training equips him to manage a wide range of corneal problems, from dry eye and Fuchs’ dystrophy to keratoconus and pterygium, and to offer advanced treatments such as corneal cross-linking, endothelial keratoplasty procedures like DSEK, and corneal transplantation. Dr. Minkowski offers a full range of procedures, including laser vision correction, refractive lens exchange, complex cataract surgery with premium lens options, and partial- and full-thickness corneal transplantation. Dr. Jennifer Lynne Barger is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist who specializes in cornea and cataract care. Anthony Tang, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon specializing in cataract, refractive, and corneal surgery at Wilmington Eye. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, including modern cataract surgery with advanced intraocular lens technologies, laser vision correction, and options for patients who are not LASIK candidates such as ICL and refractive lens exchange. Dr. Tang emphasizes precision and individualized planning to help patients achieve clear, comfortable vision. Dr. Tang earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee, and pursued additional fellowship training in Denver, Colorado. His refractive training included work at the United States Air Force Academy, where he gained experience with the latest laser platforms. Dr. Rena Xu is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist and cataract surgeon with Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Associates (CEENTA), caring for patients in Charlotte, Concord, and Huntersville. Her expertise spans corneal disease, cataract surgery, refractive procedures, and complex anterior segment surgery. She performs femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and offers advanced options such as corneal cross-linking, corneal transplantation (including DMEK/DSAEK/DALK, K-Pro, CTAK, PKP), secondary IOL implantation and exchanges, and artificial iris implantation. Dr. Xu received her medical degree from Nanjing Medical University and earned a PhD in optics from Indiana University, where her research included multifocal intraocular lens design. She completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. During residency she set the national record for the most primary phaco cases (490), with a large proportion of premium lenses. Dr. Faraaz Khan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained Cornea and Refractive Surgery specialist. Born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and Duke University. He then received his medical degree from Wake Forest Medical School, where he also conducted research at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Khan completed his Ophthalmology training at Virginia Commonwealth University and went on to complete a Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the Flaum Eye Institute at the University of Rochester. He has lectured on innovative techniques in artificial cornea transplantation across the United States. Dr. Khan is dedicated to improving access to eye care and delivering patient-focused service. After his fellowship, Dr. Khan returned to North Carolina and now practices in Holly Springs. He resides there with his wife and three children. He is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, and Urdu, and he enjoys playing basketball, running, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Khan takes great honor in providing his patients with the best possible vision using the most innovative techniques.

Dr. Lisa V. Sitterson is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in cornea, refractive surgery, and external disease. Her medical education was completed at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, followed by a comprehensive three-year residency in ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. To further specialize, she undertook a fellowship at Tufts University and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, concentrating on cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. As a dedicated eye care professional, Dr. Sitterson is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Her language skills in German and Spanish enhance her ability to connect with patients from various backgrounds. Outside of her practice, she leads an active life, enjoying running, triathlon competitions, scuba diving, and skiing, which underscores her commitment to health and wellness.

Dr. Alexander Snyder is a cornea specialist at Raleigh Eye Center, where he focuses on the medical and surgical care of the cornea.
