A Mississippi native, Dr. Lin earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and then trained in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Virginia. He returned to UMMC to practice and teach, and was recognized as the UMMC Ophthalmology Attending of the Year in 2019. Dr. Cole M. Richardson is a vitreoretinal surgeon serving patients in Mississippi and Alabama. He manages complex surgical and medical retina conditions, offering advanced pars plana vitrectomy for retinal detachment and macular disease as well as office-based care for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal vascular occlusions. Patients appreciate his calm bedside manner, thorough education about options, and commitment to close follow-up during recovery. Dr. Richardson earned his medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed ophthalmology residency at Beaumont Health, and pursued vitreoretinal fellowship training with Retina Specialists of Alabama. His interests include secondary IOL surgery, trauma, and improving access to retina care across the Gulf South.
