Dr. Tracy W. Krick is a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgeon who helps patients improve vision and eye comfort through both medical care and advanced procedures. She provides comprehensive eye care, evaluates and treats corneal conditions, performs cataract surgery, and offers laser vision correction such as LASIK. She completed fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute after an ophthalmology residency at the Johns Hopkins University Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Krick earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies in psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Krick enjoys getting to know her patients and believes better vision can make a meaningful difference in overall quality of life.

Dr. Wassef Chanbour is a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery specialist at the University of Minnesota. His practice spans the full spectrum of medical and surgical corneal and anterior segment care for adults and children. He performs cataract surgery with advanced and sutured intraocular lenses, partial-thickness corneal transplantation (including DALK, DSEK/DSAEK, and DMEK), corneal cross-linking for keratoconus, and complex anterior segment reconstruction. He also offers modern refractive options such as LASIK, PRK, and ICL for appropriately selected patients. Dr. Chanbour completed a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at a Harvard Medical School–affiliated program (Boston Eye Group/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center). He previously completed ophthalmology residency and earned his medical degree at the Lebanese University, where he also cultivated interests in research and education. Dr. Chanbour has authored peer-reviewed publications and presented at national and international meetings. Ethin S. Kiekhafer, OD, FAAO, is an optometrist at Associated Eye Care who provides full-scope medical optometry with a focus on contact lenses and ocular surface disease. He enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and tailoring care plans that fit how they work, play, and see every day. Dr. Kiekhafer manages common and complex conditions including dry eye disease and anterior segment problems, and partners closely with the surgical team to co-manage cataract and cornea care when needed. A Wisconsin native, he completed an ocular disease residency at Associated Eye Care after graduating with high honors from the Michigan College of Optometry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Patients value his easygoing style, attention to detail, and practical guidance on everything from healthier screen time to comfortable contact lens wear.

Dr. Joel Nelson is an ophthalmologist with an emphasis on corneal disease and surgical vision correction. He offers advanced corneal care, including corneal transplant techniques such as PKP, DSEK, DMEK, and DALK, and he is prepared to surgically manage intraocular lens dislocations using the intrascleral haptic fixation technique. He also performs cataract surgery and LASIK and provides glaucoma care, including iStent Inject Micro-Bypass implantation at the time of cataract surgery when appropriate. A Minnesota native, Dr. Nelson earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College. He completed ophthalmology training at Nova Southeastern University in Miami and specialized in the medical and surgical treatment of corneal disease at the University of Minnesota. Patients can expect detailed explanations, thoughtful surgical planning, and care focused on comfort, safety, and visual goals.

Dr. Jesse Vislisel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. He earned his M.D. from the University of Iowa in 2007 and graduated with Research Distinction. After completing a medical internship in Tucson, Arizona, he returned to the University of Iowa for ophthalmology residency training and a fellowship in cornea and external eye disease. In clinic, he focuses on helping patients understand their diagnosis and options, whether they are pursuing cataract surgery, managing corneal disease, or considering vision correction. Dr. Vislisel has a special interest in corneal transplantation, corneal crosslinking, anterior segment and ocular surface surgery, and laser refractive surgery such as LASIK. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has contributed to ophthalmology education through EyeRounds.org.
