Dr. Levi Kanu is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist with expertise in corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, refractive procedures, and the treatment of complex ocular surface diseases. He combines surgical excellence with a commitment to advancing ocular drug delivery through translational research. Dr. Kanu earned his undergraduate degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Johns Hopkins University and completed his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to train in ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, followed by a prestigious cornea fellowship. As a clinician-scientist and NIH/NEI-funded K12 Vision Scholar, Dr. Kanu’s research focuses on innovative treatments for corneal disease, including drug delivery technologies targeting conditions like neurotrophic keratopathy. His goal is to bridge laboratory discoveries with real-world impact, bringing meaningful therapies to patients with vision-threatening disorders. Dr. Kanu is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while advancing the science of ophthalmology through thoughtful innovation.

Crystal L. Zhang, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, refractive surgery, and anterior segment diseases. She was born in China and grew up in Belgium and Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Zhang completed her ophthalmology residency at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys caring for a diverse patient community. Before joining Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, she practiced at Eye Consultants of Rhode Island in Providence and served as a surgical and clinical instructor at Brown University. She graduated from Northwestern University with a full academic scholarship and attended Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Zhang is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Ophthalmology. In her free time, she is a foodie who loves to try new cuisine and travel to National Parks.

Dr. James Gregoire is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who focuses on clear communication, meticulous planning, and technology-forward care. He offers the full spectrum of vision correction—from LASIK and PRK to implantable collamer lenses—as well as advanced cataract surgery using femtosecond laser assistance and light-adjustable lens technology to fine-tune outcomes. He also treats corneal disease, including keratoconus, and performs modern corneal transplant techniques with ultra-thin tissue when indicated. A Massachusetts native, Dr. Gregoire completed ophthalmology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine before pursuing a cornea, cataract, and refractive fellowship with Boston Vision and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He holds a Master’s in Medical Sciences from Boston University and enjoys teaching, regularly lecturing on optics and refractive surgery to residency programs across the region. Patients describe him as approachable and detail-oriented, with a collaborative style that helps each person understand options and choose a plan that fits their vision goals.

Dr. Prachi Dua is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist who provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. She is the Medical Director at Andover Eye Associates and is known for pairing careful evaluation with clear, practical guidance. Dr. Dua completed a combined BA/MD program at CUNY Brooklyn College and SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, and also earned a Master of Public Health at SUNY Downstate. She trained in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate, where she served as Chief Resident, and completed fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Her clinical work includes corneal and ocular surface disease, keratoconus evaluation, and evidence-based myopia management options such as orthokeratology, low-dose atropine, and multifocal soft contact lenses.
