Elli A. Park, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with Boston University Eye Associates. Clifford B. Kim, MD, is an Ophthalmology Hospitalist at Mass Eye and Ear and an Instructor in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Tave van Zyl is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts. She cares for patients with a focus on protecting vision, preserving quality of life, and helping people understand their options for long-term eye health. She earned her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine after graduating cum laude from Harvard College in Biochemical Sciences. Dr. van Zyl completed ophthalmology residency training at Harvard Medical School and then pursued advanced fellowship training in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. Dr. Bradley A. Hansen is a board-certified ophthalmologist who focuses on glaucoma care and cataract surgery, including complex cataract cases. Dr. K. Matthew McKay is a vitreoretinal surgeon and uveitis specialist at Mass Eye and Ear and an instructor in ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Natalie Wolkow is an ophthalmologist with specialized training in ophthalmic plastic surgery and ophthalmic pathology. Her clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of orbital tumors and eyelid cancers, as well as eyelid reconstruction and surgery for eyelid malpositions and droopy eyelids (ptosis). Her research is dedicated to developing neuroprotective strategies for glaucoma, focusing on retinal inflammation and microglia signaling to preserve the neurons connecting the eye to the brain. This work aims to pave the way for new treatments that can protect vision despite elevated eye pressure. Dr. Margeta has been recognized with awards like the Robert Machemer Resident Research Award and the Duke Ocular Innovation Award for her innovative approaches to glaucoma drainage device surgery in children. Dr. Margeta completed her PhD in Neuroscience at Stanford University and earned her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Astrid C. Werner is a board-certified ophthalmologist with the New England Eye Center’s Glaucoma and Cataract Service. She serves as Vice Chair of Clinical Services for the Tufts Department of Ophthalmology and as Medical Director of the NEEC Wellesley office, and she leads the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Service. Dr. Nina Farivari is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract care that enhances both clarity and quality of vision. A New York native, she earned her medical degree with a distinction in community health from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute/University of Miami and then a prestigious fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Duke University.
