Dr. Caroline Lieux Sowell is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who cares for adults seeking clear, comfortable vision and long-term eye health. A Baton Rouge native, she graduated from Louisiana State University and earned her MD from LSU Health Sciences Center–New Orleans, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and received the AMWA Glasgow-Rubin Citation for graduating first in her class. She completed ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami, consistently ranked among the nation’s top training programs, and went on to advanced fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. He completed an internal medicine internship at Tulane and ophthalmology residency training with Ochsner/LSU Health in Shreveport before returning home to serve the Baton Rouge community. Dr. Nick Frisard is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with a particular focus on helping patients see more clearly and comfortably as their vision needs change over time. Dr. Keating is the inventor and co-founder of the SightScholar electronic eye chart, an all-in-one system used to assess visual acuity and educate patients on various eye conditions and their treatment options. Raised in Opelousas and a graduate of Opelousas Catholic High School, Dr. Keating earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, graduating Cum Laude in 2006. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Louisiana State University Medical School in Shreveport in 2011 and completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University, where he was honored as chief resident. He is fully certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Patrick Redmond is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who cares for patients with common and complex eye concerns, from routine evaluations to advanced surgical treatment. He offers cataract surgery, including premium lens options, and he helps patients navigate chronic conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Redmond earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport after completing undergraduate studies at Texas Christian University. He completed ophthalmology residency training at UT Southwestern Medical School. In the clinic, he emphasizes thorough exams, practical education, and individualized recommendations so patients can make confident decisions about their vision. He is known for using modern techniques, including no-stitch, blade-free approaches when clinically appropriate. Blake K. Williamson, MD, MPH, MS is an ophthalmologist and the President and Managing Partner of Williamson Eye Center. He focuses on advanced cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and micro-invasive glaucoma procedures, helping patients choose the approach that best fits their lifestyle and vision goals. Dr. Williamson completed medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center and ophthalmology residency training at Tulane University. He also earned master’s degrees from Columbia University (MS) and Johns Hopkins Medical Center (MPH). In addition to clinical care, he has a strong interest in innovation and education and has been recognized at the Tulane O’Brien Research Symposium for work related to microscopic glaucoma devices and corneal degeneration. He also participates in global outreach as a Unite for Sight Global Impact Fellow and has served on surgical missions on multiple continents.

Dr. Stephen Lau was born and raised in Canada near Toronto and obtained his medical degree from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. After working as a junior doctor in London for a couple of years, he returned to America to complete his general surgery internship and ophthalmology residency at BronxCare Health System in New York City and his glaucoma fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Dr. Lau is a board certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is passionate about teaching and strives to serve as a supportive guide for his patients and colleagues.
