He graduated in the top of his medical school class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society prior to graduation. Upon finishing medical school, he remained in Augusta and trained in a four-year medical and surgical residency in ophthalmology. The Pattons have now relocated to Blue Ridge with the desire to fill an important need for eye care in the area, as Dr. Patton is now the only ophthalmologist practicing full time in Fannin County. They are also very pleased to be living close to their Blue Ridge family and friends. On a personal note, Dr. Patton is a Christian and aims to follow the Lord in all of his endeavors.
