Dr. Christopher is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a clinical focus on corneal disease and cataract care. As an associate professor of ophthalmology, she combines academic rigor with a patient-first approach—taking time to listen, explain findings in plain language, and tailor treatment plans to each person’s goals. Her expertise includes advanced options for corneal transplantation and dry eye disease as well as modern cataract surgery. Her training includes medical school at the University of Colorado, internship at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s, ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan, and fellowship at the University of Colorado. She works closely with multidisciplinary teams and is affiliated with major regional hospitals, offering coordinated care for complex conditions while keeping the experience comfortable and respectful for patients and their families.

Aimee M. Verner, MD, is a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgeon who helps patients achieve clear, comfortable vision through personalized medical and surgical care. Her interests include cataract surgery, modern corneal transplantation techniques (including DMEK), and laser vision correction. She also treats infectious and inherited diseases of the cornea and anterior segment. Patients value her thoughtful evaluations, practical guidance on options, and focus on outcomes that fit their visual goals and lifestyle.Dr. Verner earned her medical degree at the University of Florida, where she also completed her ophthalmology residency following a transitional internship. She completed fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in Hispanic studies, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring Colorado with her family.

Dr. Michael Wildes is a cornea and cataract specialist at the UCHealth Sue Anschutz-Rodgers Eye Center. He cares for patients with corneal disease and ocular surface disorders and offers a full range of surgical options, including cataract surgery and corneal transplantation, as well as refractive procedures. His care philosophy centers on empathy, partnership, and ensuring every patient understands their diagnosis and choices so they can make informed decisions.Dr. Wildes completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado, followed by a cornea/external disease fellowship at the University of Colorado. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to patient care, he serves in clinical leadership and is a member of national ophthalmic societies. He welcomes referrals for complex corneal conditions, cataracts, and second opinions.
