Dr. Eileen Myers

Anchorage, AKDr. Eileen Myers is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides care for a broad range of eye diseases, including cataracts, glaucoma, and lid disorders. She is the only provider in Alaska to offer corneal cross linking using both FDA-approved equipment and techniques. Dr. Myers completed her Bachelor of Science at Baylor University and earned her medical degree from Brown University. She then undertook an internship and a facial microsurgery course at Indiana University, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati. Born and raised in Anchorage, Dr. Myers spent two and a half years in private practice in Oregon before serving as Director of Ophthalmology and Director of the Surgery Center during a two-year medical mission in Jamaica. There, she gained additional training in anterior segment surgery, including complex cataracts, iris reconstruction, and pterygium removal. Outside of work, she and her husband stay active with their two daughters, enjoying biking, hiking, camping, and family movie nights.

Dr. Philip Brunetti

Fairbanks, AKDr. Philip Brunetti is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and surgeon dedicated to delivering high-quality eye care close to home. He partners with Bartlett Regional Hospital’s Ophthalmology Clinic to expand access in Juneau and the Southeast Alaska region, with an early focus on care for age-related macular degeneration and treatment of secondary cataracts after prior surgery. Patients appreciate his practical, step-by-step approach, clear explanations and attention to safety before, during and after procedures. In clinic, Dr. Brunetti provides thorough evaluations, helps patients understand their diagnosis and discusses medical and laser options when appropriate. For people with macular degeneration, he offers anti-VEGF injection therapy and ongoing monitoring. He also performs YAG capsulotomy to restore vision when posterior capsular opacification causes blur or glare following cataract surgery. Dr. Brunetti completed medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, a general-surgery internship at Brandon Regional Hospital, and an ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
