Dr. Myers completed her Bachelor of Science at Baylor University and earned her medical degree from Brown University. She then undertook an internship and a facial microsurgery course at Indiana University, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati. Born and raised in Anchorage, Dr. Myers spent two and a half years in private practice in Oregon before serving as Director of Ophthalmology and Director of the Surgery Center during a two-year medical mission in Jamaica. There, she gained additional training in anterior segment surgery, including complex cataracts, iris reconstruction, and pterygium removal. Outside of work, she and her husband stay active with their two daughters, enjoying biking, hiking, camping, and family movie nights.
